How does the NVT Phybridge FLEX switch work with VLAN's?

Answer
VLAN's are not required when deploying a FLEX switch. The switch and the adapters act essentially like a physical VLAN. This is done by isolating the IP traffic to the parallel network provided by the FLEX switch system. The switch has a default configuration of VLAN 1 with all untagged configuration. This will pass all untagged VLAN traffic and drop tagged traffic that is not configured on the switch.
If you need to configure your IP end devices to work with any VLAN's, because you may already be using VLAN's on your corporate data network, you will need to configure the switch to handle this VLAN traffic.

Please view the FLEX Admin Guide, page 26, to see how VLAN's can be configured.
